I don't know if I have ever met someone who cracks me up as often as this hot momma does, and her sweet family just adds to the charm.  I loved this session so much.  Nothing beats early morning summer light and three smiling little girls.  With snacks. :)  I'm not the mean photographer who takes snacks away from babies, so we just went with it.  Thank you for such a fun morning and lots of laughs. :)

A new member of our family... Indianapolis Lifestyle Photographer

So.... we have been wanting a kitten for a long time.  Maybe I should say we have been lovingly persuaded by a certain almost 6 year old girl that there IS a kitten out there that NEEDS us.  How do you say no to that!? So, about a week and a half ago we rescued this sweet little kitty from the animal shelter.  She's part calico and part gray tabby striped and is 7 weeks old now.  We named her Tipsy because she doesn't walk straight, flips herself off the fireplace brick and generally slides around on the hardwood floor.  The name fits her well.  :) She is naughty, playful and oh so easily distracted.  She loves snuggling with Colston early in the morning (because only he gets up at 7 am for 'quiet time' to read), loves hiding and tormenting Carlie, loves jumping on Jason's feet, and loves sleeping on me.   She's the perfect mix of happy, love, and snuggles and we are so thankful for her.   I'm actually not sure who got the better end of the deal..... Tipsy having a home where she is loved and cared for, or Carlie for getting someone 'little' in the house to boss around.  I'm gonna call it a tie.

NEWBORN SPECIAL!!!! Indianapolis Newborn Photographer

I'm ready to meet some new babies!! So, I'm bringing back my newborn session from last year that was such a hit.

If you prebook and prepay for a Newborn session, I will do a FREE mini-maternity session (30 minutes) and give you a disk with 10 of your best images on it, with a limited copyright release and 5x7s of each of the 10 images. If it is too late for a maternity session, or you are not comfortable with that, book your newborn session NOW and receive one FREE set of 24 custom birth announcements. What better way to introduce your new little one to the world?

The special ends September 15, 2010, but if you know your baby is due in October, for example, you can go ahead and pre-book/pay for your session. Session fee is $150, and session will be held in your home, or the location of your choice. Newborns are best photographed in the first 8-10 days of life to capture that perfect baby skin and blissful sleepy-ness.:)

Jon + Stacie's Wedding-Part 3 ... Indianapolis Wedding Photographer

There is something really special about wedding receptions to me.... especially during the toasts.   The stress of the day is done and it's time to just soak in the love and celebration of family and friends.  Inevitably I get a little choked up during the toasts... this wedding was no exception.  And as a children's photographer, I always love catching the little ones showing their moves on the dance floor.  Thank you again for such an amazing day to be a part of.  *All of the galleries will be available for viewing by Wednesday of this next week. *

Do you know HOW HARD it is to choose a cupcake from The Flying Cupcake? There is something so whimsical about this sweet treat and I'm so thankful to the staff for letting us photograph the birthday girl as she ENJOYED (destroyed?) her cupcake! 

Polka dots and Puddle Jumping... Indianapolis Children's Photographer

This family is one I always look forward to spending time with.  Afterall, I lived with these kiddos' momma for four wonderful years.   I may be just a wee bit biased, but I think her little ones are so cute and about as funny as can be.  I loved watching baby A "boss" big brother around.  She is a sassy one and I LOVE that.  (and so will her mom in about 4 years, but what do I know about sassy five year old girls anyway!? :)) So,  this is actually part one.  Not only did we have fun at the end of this part of the session by jumping in the puddle, we also went for cupcakes at my FAVORITE cupcake shop ever.   Stay tuned for those! :)
