So... I have two kids in school.  Officially.  None of this preschool stuff anymore.  They are BIG kids.  We have a tradition of taking the same picture in the same spot every year on the first day of school.  Our son informed his little sister that she needed to be ready for "mom's picture".   haha.  Join me on memory lane here.  (sob).  WHERE ARE MY BABIES??? Even as I typed that, my almost 10 year old (what?!??) just said that he is NOT a baby anymore.  I don't know what to make of these two very different personalities, oh so special in their own way.  They make Jason and I laugh so much more than they know.  They are caring little souls and we are so very blessed to be their parents.  Somehow, this year felt different.  I know our little girl has been in preschool for the past two years, but I guess her riding a school bus made it seem so much more real.  I thought I was okay.  The first day of school thing... saying good bye, all of that.  Then we came home and it was just Jason and I and the next thing we know I was crying and we were hugging.  A lot.  Have we taught our kids the right ways to handle adversity? Have we taught them to care for others?  Are they ready to just.... be OUT THERE?  I guess it's that leap of faith thing that parents all over the world every single day have to face.   I am happy to report that both of them came home with smiles on their faces and the typical "it was so boring" response in regards to their first day.  I think we will all be okay afterall. :)

NEWBORN SPECIAL... EXTENDED!!!! Indianapolis Newborn Photographer

I'm ALWAYS ready to meet some new babies!! So, I'm bringing back my newborn session from last year that was such a hit.

If you prebook and prepay for a Newborn session, I will do a FREE mini-maternity session (30 minutes) and give you a disk with 10 of your best images on it, with a limited copyright release and 5x7s of each of the 10 images. If it is too late for a maternity session, or you are not comfortable with that, book your newborn session NOW and receive one FREE set of 24 custom birth announcements. What better way to introduce your new little one to the world?

The special ends October 15, 2010, but if you know your baby is due in December, for example, you can go ahead and pre-book/pay for your session. Session fee is $150, and session will be held in your home, or the location of your choice. Newborns are best photographed in the first 8-10 days of life to capture that perfect baby skin and blissful sleepy-ness.:)

If you know someone who is getting ready to have a baby, please send them my way, and tell them to mention your name to receive a $25 credit on YOUR next session.

Tony + Holly Part 3 | Indianapolis Wedding Photographer

Finally, this was the most unique ceremony I have had the honor of photographing.  It was completely choreographed as a musical with the groom singing to the bride in the balcony above the crowd.  I loved how original it was, and especially the end where the entire wedding party sang "Don't Stop Believing" by Journey.  Great stuff. :)

I was so happy that this lovely couple decided to see each other before the wedding.  They shared a very special moment for this first look and then we had some time to capture them together.  This is my favorite time of a wedding day.  You guys were so beautiful together. :)

I had the honor of capturing the day for this amazing couple whose love was so tangible and real that it really made my job easy.  It was truly one of the most unique ceremonies that I have ever covered and I am so thankful for how it all turned out.  A HUGE thank you to my dear friend Kiera Dubach  for second shooting with me.  This was a day where a lot of things could have gone wrong and I knew working with Kiera that I was in the most capable hands, and a bonus.... she made me laugh all day! :) This post is mostly about the beautiful bride and the most exquisite details from this day.  Tony, your turn is coming. :)
