Rain Rain Go Away

No, seriously. Please stop raining. I know the 3 clients I have booked for Saturday would REALLY appreciate NOT getting drenched.

So, where have I been?
You know how sometimes you just have those days where you'd either like to start the day over again, or just fast forward to the next day so that the 'bad' day is over with? That was my day today. I'll just give you four hints and then I'll move on....
1) downtown
2) with a 3 year old
3) in the federal building
4) and a ticket.
DEEP BREATH.

Ok... I'm better.:)

I have been busy. Last week was spring break for Colston, which was nice to have him around. (minus the fighting with his sister). I had lots of meetings. Lots of orders. Lots of albums. And little sleep. This week I started shooting men's volleyball again for FCHS. It's such a fun chance to do something different. And wow.... those guys are GOOD this year. I'm excited to see where the season takes them. I'll post some images from that first game in a few days.

When I got home today from my "adventure" (yes, that's putting it VERY pleasantly:)) in the 'big city'... I needed a breather. So, I decided to head outside in the rain to get some droplet shots. I know on here the water droplets look huge, but in reality, they are about 1/16th of an inch or smaller. It's crazy how this certain lens can magnify things. It amazes me how perfect each little droplet is and just the detail that the images contain. Don't get me wrong, I'll take baby hands and feet over boring old water droplets ANYDAY... but I still have an appreciation for detail in nature.

Enjoy!:)

Ooooh! I especially like the last 2!

A trip to the big city, huh? Lol! Hope things are going better! How did your meeting go that Thursday? I almost texted you to find out, but, well... you know how it is... time got away!

Love it. What lens? I want a macro so bad.

Thanks, ladies.:)

Shannon, it's the Canon 100mm 2.8 macro. It really takes a lot of getting used to. And I still don't have it down, but I also really like it for outdoor portraits. (which helped me justify it!:))

Amanda, you should make time. It IS inspiring. (and addicting).

Lori, my meeting went very well. We just have some small details to work out, but I should start shooting in the next couple of weeks. yay!:)
